I think I might be getting part of my life back. I have enrolled back into college taking two classes to get finished on becomming an RN. YEAH!! I have always wanted my children to know that no matter how rough the world can be you can do anything that you want if you set your mind to and here after a year and half I am back into school. I am scared and nervous but yet excited. I can only pray that I will have support from my family to help me finish my dream. I am also scared of what my bipolar will play into my role in school. Good thing is the classes are online. I thought that would be the best way to start back so I am home if I need to be if I should have an episode of other issue. I am still scared and worried though.

Oh, Bekah! Congratulations! I went back to school at 45 and have almost finished two majors. Last year with all the medication and manic problems, my gpa fell, and I had to withdraw from some classes, but I'm almost done.

My sister-in-law went back to school and got her nursing degree and has enjoyed a full and rewarding career. I think she had an advantage over younger students in that she had a bit of life experience and maturity under her belt. She was 40 when she went back to school. Now she's quite happy and successful.

the online courses I took were much easier if there were open times to review and respond to the work. virtual classrooms I could not do in my condition, but I hear they are a lot easier than physical classrooms.

God bless you as you begin another grand adventure to fulfilling your dreams and life.

I'm sure your family loves you and will very supportive, too.

hugs!

Good for you Bekah. You set a wonderful example for your kids. Working toward a goal and dream may be incredibly healthy for you. Don't let doubts creep in. Just keep telling yourself that you CAN do it! With thoughts and many blessings, Odyssey

Thank you Bekah for giving me hope that someday I might be able to do the same thing. Right now I am 28 and on disability and feel like this is the most I am going to get out of my life. But your posting has given me hope for my life that one day I might be able to accomplish something worthwhile.
BE BLESSED!

Bipolarmomma - at 28 you still have many years to pursue your dreams and of course, you can do it. Don't ever give up on yourself. What would you really like to do? Blessings, Odyssey
