My boyfriend will claim that he is not an alcoholic. Most do. But yes I struggle with his drinking as well as his bipolar.

Was he always a drinker or did it start after his diagnosis?

yes my mom has dual diagnoses of bipolar and addiction but not to alcohol but to prescription pills.
The small things can make the biggest differences.
