Hi guys... Well odd subject I know. I just wanted to see if anyone has this wierd( or so my doc is telling me) array of disorders. I being told that the bipolar has gone on so long untreated that it caused the other 3. Ok so that makes a certain amount of sense. The situation I am in now is that the medicine to help one hurts the other. Can anyone relate?

I deal with bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADD.

It seems a certain level of OCD has been present since i can remember. Bipolar then started it seemed in adolescence for me.

The ADD kinda bounces off of both of those depending on where I'm at with things. I can go from total focus, to being completely flighty.

Hi again_ Do you notice that your OCD is only when you are manic? Or do you have it all the time

I have bipolar with schizophrenic symptoms of auditory hallucinations, delusions and paranoia. I take mood stabilizers and an anti-depressant for my mania and depression and an antipsychotic for my voices, delusions and paranoia. I've been hearing voices since 1991 and have been paranoid (I have 7 different types of paranoia) since 1995. From what my pdoc told me, people who have atypical bipolar 1 like I do often experience psychotic symptoms just like those who have schizoaffective, bipolar 1 or 2 with psychotic features and bipolar NOS (not otherwise specified).

I can be much more obsessive about things, when I am manic, yes. Also obsessing about things can lead to depression with me.

In my case, my pdoc, tdoc and attending pdocs I've had while IP told me that I've had bipolar for many, many years. One attending pdoc told me my bipolar was masked by my deafness and blindness. My pdoc and tdoc think I've had bipolar since age 20 when I first started showing clear signs of the disorder. It wasn't until I experienced my first manic/psychotic episode in 2006 that my symptoms became severe and I was hospitalized for a little over a month.

hi again Neon. I havnt yet seen my pdoc....april 7th...I cant wait. My tdoc and md havnt clearly put me in a type 1 or type 2 catagory. The only condition I have that is life threatening is the panic attacks. They took me of my mds because my panic attack meds caused the psychotic episodes to get worse.....Im just scared now

neon- I am more than 50 % deaf in my right ear. They dont know if I hear voices or if its because of my hearing impediment. I always feel like someone is calling my name. I ignored it because im use to havin hearin problems. Maybe its related....Im so overwelmed with everything. I feel like i dont even know myself anymoreSad
