MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

....going to see someone on a weekly basis. I like her so far. She has experience with eating disorders and all that. SHe suspects I have borderline disorder (WISH they had a new name for that)but won't diagnose me until later.

My failing relationship continues to be a sore in my side. I think couples therapy is next on the wish list.

Good for you! So happy you hit in to see someone and are liking her. One step at a time.
* When nothing goes right...go left
* Attach your own oxygen mask before assisting others
* Women are not that complicated. How hard is it to tell us
we are pretty and give us chocolate?
* Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting their own battle.
* Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its troubles. It empties today of its strength.

This is from the Mayo Clinic site. I hope it helps

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is an emotional disorder that causes emotional instability, leading to stress and other problems.

With borderline personality disorder your image of yourself is distorted, making you feel worthless and fundamentally flawed. Your anger, impulsivity and frequent mood swings may push others away, even though you desire loving relationships.

If you have borderline personality disorder, don't get discouraged. Many people with borderline personality disorder get better with treatment and can live happy, peaceful lives.

Oh wow. I never knew what borderline personality disorder was. Sounds like it could be right up my alley too, as well as bipolar 2. Is it even possible for a person to be diagnosed with both of those at the same time??
For BP II:
I am currently managing to maintain a semblance of sanity taking Latuda 40mg daily

Extensive talk therapy keeps my head above water while the meds keep me splashing merrily along.

Was taking lithium, lamotrigine and lorazepam but those have all been discontinued...for now. At one time, I also took Abilify (caused extreme tremors) and Zoloft (caused extreme auditory hallucinations).

Yes, it is possible to have both.
My opinions are just opinions, and should be taken as such. I am not an expert on medicines or BP disorder.

Um, after reading about borderline, my mouth fell open as if I were reading my life story. Also a flash of anger because I'm 32, and if I had been able to get therapy for all this crap at age 18, I might not have SPENT THE ENTIRE PAST DECADE IN MISERY. Now, at almost 33 with no job no friends and no nothing, I have to be reborn, so to speak. When you hit bottom, you can go UP. The view at bottom is an expansive one. Here I lay on the concrete hell that is the tragic mess I created. The good news is I have a clear path to the sky right above me.
