I need a little wisdom this am. The bible says there is wisdom in the council of many, so here I am.

Really aggrivated at son, 22. He has not been home in a little over a month. All of his stuff is still in the spare bedroom, his truck is still in the driveway (needing work and he has not touched it), His dog is in the back yard and he has not even attempted to take responsibility for it, and debt collectors keep sending mail and calling because he uses this address and phone as home. He is shacking up with his girlfriend at her mothers house (he wasn't brought up that way). I really want to call him and tell him to just come and get his s*** this morning.

The scarry part is that I think I am seeing signs of bipolar and they have been there for a while. I was just hoping it was teenageism just holding on. Really questioning my own perspective this morning.

Open to word of wisdom...

RED

sounds like he moved. feed dog. call son. have mail forwarded to new address. give him a deadline for coming to get his stuff. pack it for him. tell him you love him. being bp is not an excuse to run and live somewhere else and not live up to responsibilities.

i have a son who did the same things. it worked fine. he is doing great but, he hated me at the time. loves me now.

I enjoy each precious day.

My Grandma has done the same thing. So have old boyfriends. I got mad at the time, but, it was their way of setting boundaries, and letting me know, that I couldn't take advantage of them. I had to learn to take responsibility. A landlord would have done the same thing.

God bless, Gypsy

Good advice Norma and Gypsy! Forward that mail today but do it on paper and NOT online! I have had unbelievable increase in spam since COA online with the USPS.

One more thing. 22 is not a teenage but an adult in every way. Tough love and boundaries work. Its hard but will bring abut positive change.
