After all the years of mental abuse and the cheating and other things I had enough and called it quits. Feb 6 was thelast day when it eneded and life hahs been some what normal. But Paul still tries to play the mind games on me and for some stupid reason I let him. I found out so many horrible things that he has done since I have left and why does he blame it on being Bipolar. You know what is right and wrong and like I told him he could have controled himself. Anyone have an Ideal how I can distance myself from him

I'm sorry you have experienced mental abuse and cheating. I think it's good that you called it quits. Maybe you two shouldn't be friends if he is going to continue to play mind games on you. That's not healthy. Finding out all those horrible things justifies you ending it. You don't need that in your life. I don't know why he blames it on bipolar. It sounds like he's using it as an excuse. It's no excuse to do those things though. Try to not talk to him. Get it in your mind that you are a good person. You deserve better. Try dating. At least it would give you something else to think about. I met someone on a dating site that I really like. It is possible. I hope that this gets better for you!

I really recommend that you join the bipolar spouses group. You'll find a lot of people in your situation there because the group is for people who are or were involved with someone with bipolar disorder. You will find support and understanding.
