I was wondering what you all think. I experience some regular hypomanias that feel good. But I've heard it said that it annoys others. I'm trying to be a good listener, even though I take control of the conversation sometimes. I don't want to annoy anyone.

Watch for the look on their faces. I myself don't like being hypomanic. It feels good at first, but quickly loses its luster. I'm confident that when I am hypomanic I very much annoy people. I see that look that cross their face and it becomes quite obvious that I may not be as pleasing to them as I think I am. Just my 2 cents.

Who cares? As long as you are not saying or doing anything to hurt them then who cares if you annoy people. Lots of people are annoyed by me I am sure. I just pray for them LOL

Some people love it. It gets on other's nerves. My doc told me that I need to be careful when I am feeling this way because I give off a confident and fun/flirtatios-without-meaning-to aura and men love it... that leads to them being to come-onish to me. Most women who are not friends hate it and think I am trying to get attention- which I don't think I am...

That's interesting. I'm not desiring men to come on to me right now. But I do get a little high at times, and temptations come. I have one friend who's married and acts flirty at times himself. I need to be careful with myself around him (or just not see him at all. I always make sure there's other people around when I do).

I was hypomanic for the past 2 days and must say that I thought it was a pleasant experience. Of course, I'm currently IP, so I can't act on my impusivity even if I wante to. I know some people have described feeling irritable during a hypomanic episode, but I haven't. This is the first hypomanic episode I've ever had. During this episode I felt calm and relaxed. Not too overconfident, creative or intelligent. I felt good or in other words, a few notches above what is considered feeling level for me.

Being hypomanic at beginning is fun but sometimes, looking at peoples faces and their reactons to me, I know Im annoying them. I usually get away from people, or if I have to be around others and am still wired up, I take some klonopin, but this happens rarely. Im not hypomanic for very long to resort to taking klonopin. I love the onset of hypomania. It's fantastic. But my pacing and fast speech about often pointless things wears on others, I'm sure. It always ends up with me getting really edgy and irritable and sometimes can get into rage. Now THAT will really turn folks off.
