Does anyone else have issues with grocery shopping at the grocery store? It always seems like I am going the wrong way down the aisle. All the crazy beeping and the talk coming from the check out yourself lanes drives me insane. People stop their cart in the middle of an aisle.

I am a very foucsed shopper. I go down only the aisles I need to go down. The guy that stocks the milk always wants to talk. I always feel like I want to start knocking things off the shelf and do a grocery cart drive by. lol

Does anyone else have issues with the grocery store???

My only issue with the grocery is I will ALWAYS overspend if I don't just have a certain amount of cash. I mean I will empty the bank account when I am manic and it is almost always at the grocery. Goes back to when I was a kid and we didn't have much. I panic when we are low on groceries! So, I am probably one of the people that you would want to ram with your cart, msmay!! LOL

No, but my husband doesSmile He knows where everything is and goes by a specific plan- it cracks me up, because I am a fly-by-the-seat shopper in the grocery store.Smile

I am fortunate that my daughter likes to grocery shop so she always goes. If I was to go you would probably want to ram me as well. I would be standing in the aisle with my cart blocking it obssessing over which brand of ketchup to buy.

Ele...me too, I read the labels. Try not to block the aisle. I talk to people in the store...make comments about the products. And buy in bulk...would rather buy a case of toilet paper, you always need that right? Hubby would only buy 2 rolls at a time...I hate running out...it isn't going to spoil...LOL LOL

MsMay,

I can SO identify with you! I also HATE all of the beeping, talking and especially the darn PA system that is so loud it makes me dizzy.

I'm the kind of shopper who likes to get in and out ASAP. I tend to get manic whenever I'm around crowds and I become easily irritated and overwhelmed by alot of background noise.

I wonder if you couldn't try using an online grocery store like Peapod? The prices are more expensive, but at least it would help eliminate one kind of stress in your life. I'm thinking about giving it a shot myself because I dread going to the grocery store and would do anything possible to avoid it.

I have trouble waiting in line. If im alone, not too bad but when my hubby is with me, I have him empty cart & give to cashier and I usually walk away, go outside, just disappear and go ahead to car. Don't have patience. My hubby says since I did all the shopping, the least he can do is take out groceries to give to cashier .../lol.Cool

I struggle in grocery stores sometimes too. For me it's the hustle and bustle, bright lights and all the different things to see. The noise is a problem too, the whole thing can be like sensory overload. I am lucky because if I am not feeling up to it, I do have someone who will help me and that's a good thing Smile

I tend to go to the grocery store late. That way its not to crowded and then I cruise around in the electric buggies. I have been know to take an air horn with me and scare people when they look at me funny then I would look at them funny and ask them how they like it. I just don't care much for lots of people.
