I'm taking 60 mg of Geodon and it makes me so sleepy. I can't even function. I feel like a ghost. I'm always feeling restless I feel retarded and I space out so much. Is there anything I could do to possibly minimize the side effects of it?

I'm taking 160 mg geodon and at first made feel sleepy but it went away. How long have you taken it? If not very give it some time and see how you feel.

Be patient. The drowsiness will go ago. Like the poster above I also take 160 mg of Geodon. I happen to take it all at night. Nowadays on Geodon I sometimes even have trouble sleeping long enough hours unless I take Seroquel too.
Bipolar 1, Simple Partial Seizures, and migraines

Psychiatric meds:

Lithium ER (900 mg)*Tegretol XR (1400 mg)*Lamictal (100 mg)*Geodon (160 mg)*Navane (5 mg)*Seroquel XR (100 mg)*Klonopin (.5 mg)

Ativan 1 mg "as needed" (I rarely take it.)*Seroquel regular 50 mg "as needed" (Only if I'm getting elevated.)

Other meds:

Propranolol (40 mg)*Levothyroxine (150 mcg)

My mix is side effect friendly for me.

I take 140 mg of Geodon and the grogginess does go away with time. Try seeing if you can take your dose at night that helped me out when I was first taking it.

At what time is it recommended to take Geodon if it's in the latter part of the day. I am supposed to be taking 160mg a day of geodon but I complained to my psychiatrist that I felt too sleepy

I would say to take it when your pdoc said because the tiredness will eventually go. What did your Pdoc say when you told him you were so sleepy?
★210mg Lofepramine ★ 30mg Abilify ★ 300mg Lamictal ★ 50mg Phenergan ★ Ambien 10mg ★

Any advice given is merely from my own experience as I am not a mental health professional, psychologist or psychiatrist.

He said to take it at dinner time. I usually eat dinner really late if I'm working my two jobs. So I end up feeling insanely groggy in the morning
