I am on a ton of meds (some being increased right now) that are making me very groggy - I can't concentrate, I can't think, my creativity (which I pride) is gone. Yet I still can't sleep and I'm still depressed - meds won't start working just yet.

I used to spend hours writing poems and just anything down when I was feeling down. That was one thing, that even though I felt like crap, sometimes I was most creative when I was down. Now I feel dull, unhelpful and can barely put a sentence together.

I feel like if I could just sleep it wouldn't be so bad. Saturday night I woke up over 10 times during the night. Sunday night I was wide awake for two hours, and kept waking up. It's driving me bananas!

Is there anything I can physically do to help myself sleep? I've tried cammomile tea, soft music, dark room, open window, staying up later, catching up with naps...none of my rest is actually "restful" and I feel like it's making me worse. Sad

I haven't found a remedy and I'm in the same boat with you. I hope that when you adjust to the meds your creativity comes back. I also hope you are able to get a good nights rest soon.

Not sleeping is no good. I hope you got a decent night of sleep last night. Give the medications time to get in your system and for your body to adjust to them. Things should get better. You are in the beginning, so things should look up for you. I'm sorry that you aren't feeling creative and are groggy. I hate those feelings. Well, I'm not that creative in the first place, but it gets worse when starting medications. You'll get there, just keep hanging on. You are doing your best right now. I'm glad you don't have to work for awhile. We're here for you, so keep us updated on how you are doing.
