I did feel the increase in paxil did help as far as with the depression i had. But i also was argumental at the same time. My sleep was being effected by the paxil increase. I was not tired at bedtime. i did not like that because my sleep has been so good for so long now. i don't want anything to mess with that. i know i did not give it time(just a few days) but i just could not handle the lack of sleep. Now i feel the withdrawl. i feel down-have not talked to doctor yet-it is hard to get through to anyone. I just took a lorazepam which i try not to take often. I was going to take an extra dose of seroquel which the doctor has told me i could take if needed-but it makes me feel weird and groggy during the day. i hope i balance out soon. you wouldn't think a few days of(10mg)more of the paxil would effect me so much.

That's too bad that you felt that way on the increase of Paxil. Sleep is very important and you know that. Things just aren't right when you don't get the sleep you need. Like you said, you have had great sleep and you don't want to mess that up. I'm sorry you are feeling the withdrawal. It shouldn't last too long since you only took it a few days. I hope you balance out soon also. It's amazing what a little increase can do to you whether it's good or bad.

I trid going down to 30mg from 40mg and I thought I was going to lose my mind. The withdrawl symptoms were terrible. I went back to 40mg and am fine now. I take zyprexa for sleep and get anywhere from 8-12 hours of sleep.

Jewl I am sorry. I know you felt the increase was helping your depression. You must be very disappointed. I hope the withdrawal passes quickly and your doctor is able to find something else to help you.
