I hope none are offended by this. I dont hear voices anymore and can chuckle at this.. I hope you can too.

My husband almost bought me a shirt that said "your just jealous the voices dont talk to you" or something like that. I would have worn that shirt with pride... lol.

i like your sign, i hear voices to always thought, was me talking to me, and a random voice from the past, you think the voices might of been the observer who watches what you do? just think where the observer learned what to watch for.

I'm an Advocate

I talk to myself. I use my hands to talk a lot. I'm very expressionable. Oftentimes I'll use sign language in my conversations. Although it's really hard to do on a post or a chat. LOL

are there people who don't talk to themselves?

Bipolar 2 with a shot of Aspergers and a touch of Agoraphobia/Citalopram, Lithium and Dextroampheta Sulfate, Caffeine, etc...

if what i say makes sense to you, you might want to bear in mind that i'm mentally ill.

My music theory professor always said you know you're a true conservatory student when - after 8+ hours in the practice room with the piano - you find you're talking to yourself for company.

It's okay that the voices are talking to you but when you start having a conversation, well. LOL!

I work in a psychiatric adult home, and most if not all of my coworkers talk to themselves.

I like to joke, "So you are discussing this with an intelligent person?" and then add, "Are you getting a good answer?"

My point is that many times, when a person is unsure and can't figure something out, it helps to talk about it even to themselves. Talking about it helps you organize your thoughts better, and might even give you the answer you seek.

Also, talking to self is a common phenomenon.

If I am not talking to my dog, I am talking to myself. I often ask others in the room what it is that I am doing.
