anyone had any good luck w trileptal?...im taking it w lamictal, klonopin...and then temazepam for sleep...im trying this cocktail wo an antipsychotic due to the side effects of those drugs...any input on the trileptal?
My meds:
Lamictal 200 mg
Trileptal 600 mg-300 in am and 300 in pm
Klonopin 1 mg 3 times a day
Seroquel 300 mg
Trazodone
Zoloft 50 mg

I did take trileptal for a while last year (07), but it was bad for me. I had unusual urges to hurt myself and was constently anxious. I weaned myself off of it cause I knew I was going down with it.

I take 300mg of trileptal at bedtime. It's very sedative. I also have temazpam for sleeping, but rarely use it. I also take lamictal. The trileptal keeps me from the edgy/anger/rage that can happen if I go hypomanic. I also take Zyprexa (atypical antipsychotic). It took a coupel weeks before I was not hungover in the day, but it seems to be working fine for me.

10mg Abilify--400mg Lamictal-90mg Cymbalta--25mg Ambien CR--200mg Topomax--30mg Temazapam--1mg Ativan as needed.
