MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

I went crazy when I was 13. I drank and did drugs to control my mood swings. This behavior followed me into adulthood. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I eventually saw a doctor but I didn't know what I had. They diagnosed me with PTSD and anxiety disorder. The meds didn't work because I was Bipolar. Eventually the alcohol didn't work and began to make my mood swings worse. I got sober and that didn't work. My youngest son was diagnosed Bipolar when he was 8. Over the years of learning how to take care of him I found myself. I was just like him. My exhusband divorced me and took my girls away from me. At the time i wasn't stabalized so I lost them. I wanted to die. The only thing that kept me going were my sons. I couldn't desert them.Sad

Taurus...it is hard isn't when we, in retrospect, examine our lives and measure it against what could have been. Only thing to do, dear, is move on and learn from the past, I have had to do that myself, hon.

Hope you find support here and develop a rapport with some of the people who have been through similar experiences...

Please make yourself at home...if you need help in navigating the site just ask...we love to show new folks around...

This was the hardest thing I had to deal with. I thought my life was over. But it wasn't, because in all that pain, I rebuilt myself and found myself.

Previous discussions I participated in:

Norma, Thank You for taking the time to answer me. By the time I was stabalized it was to late to get my girls back. It took three years. They were settled and happy with their Dad. I have developed a very close relationship with them from a distance. I have accepted my situation and even found joy in it.Smile
