What is a theraputic dose of lamictal

just wondering what a theraputic dose is because I just took a 100mg tab this afternoon. also wondering if the dr is likely to put me on 150 or 200 next? I really want to get the full benifit of lamictal I am so desperate for this depression to end. i dont give a fig about the mania but the depression is killing me.

welbutrin 100mg 3x daily abilify 30mg once daily
cymbalta 120mg once daily Lamictal 150mg
benedryl 50mg once daily Thyroid Neurontin calcium
fish oil vitamin E lorazapam as needed 1mg
advair 50/500 twice daily accolate 20mg twice daily B12 once daily one dropper

Guess it depends on the person. I take 250mgs in the morning - gee am glad that you wrote here, as forgot them this morning (a rare event) and started to get withdrawl symptoms. Anyway, I am not sure what it does for any depression.

Now while I possibly should not say this. But I find Zyprexa to be heaven sent. Well as long as you do not mind being zonked out while taking it. But three days of it got me out of a recent depression. Well thought that it had. Now a couple of weeks later and I am again feeling depressed.

Hope you feel better soon Phoen.....and am having a good Christmas Day.

Then 50mgs later on in the evening
to encourage sleep.
250mgs of Lamictal in the morning. Mood Stabilizer
Lithium 250mg at night and 250mgs in the AM.

It can depend on what other drugs you are taking. I take 300/day. The dose is usually 300mg to 500mg/day.

thanks Jen and Bang, zyprexa for depression you say? sounds good I will talk to my pdoc soon tyvm and TAKE YOUR MEDS!!! jk I forget alot too then I get really irritable

I don't know what the therapeutic dose would be. I guess it would depend on the person. I take 100mg in the AM and 200mg in the PM and it seems to be working so far. Feeling half-way stable most days recently after p/doc raised the Lamictal.

i take 200mg in the morning-works good. i tried taking more but felt racey. 200mg is good.

seroquel regular 100mg
paxil 20mg
Adderall 5mg
lorazapam 0.5 mg as needed
