Magicone, I have seen my wife go through the same things and that is how she explained how she was feeling to me in mania. Just tell them, they will either go into denial or embrace you, either way it is out in the open. Hiding things and internalizing things does not help anyone. The truth is the truth sometimes the truth hurts but it is still the truth.

The doctor should not tell you that it is how it is and deal with it. There are many good doctors and medications out there to help you. Treating this is possible and can be successful, sometimes it takes a while to find the right cocktail of medications that work for you but it is worth it. They will not cure the bipolar but they can help you to make it manageable.

We are here for you.

Hi,

I told my mom, but, she always knew there was a problem. My dad took it pretty well, too. He has suggested meds before.

I would tell the therapist everything you just explained here.

I also have been having all those symptoms, lately. I had to get on a different medication to help me get somwe relief.

Welcome, Feel free to share vent or whatever you feel like.

Magicone,

Try to hang in their until your doctor's appt. They will be able to help. I understand that it is hard to be patient with everything you're feeling. Be completely honest with the therapist - you're good at describing your feelings. We care about you. If you need to talk, we're here.
