We might as well have a sense of humor about this right? What is something silly you have done manic? I don't mean the awful bought a car we couldn't afford and trashed credit stories but silly.

For example this halloween I got pretty manic and I went to the store and bought several bags of mini-candy bars and then to the thrift store and bought several ugly framed pictures. I had in my mind that I was going to make dozens of butterflies from these wrappers, frame them in elaborate collages and hang them in my upstairs hall.

I made one, crashed and ate about a hundred candy bars.

I was left with a ton of ugly framed pictures,a pile of wrappers, one butterfly I hung in my kitchen and down like thirty bucks. lol

Anyone else got a silly mania to share?

I take things apart. I have two semi disassembled lawn mowers. One of them I jury rigged where instead of having an oil pan it has a bottle of oil screwed onto it. I just mainly do dumb things and my delusions of grandeur end up having me thinking I can rewire electrical stuff.

I took a sledge hammer to a wall in my basement. When my husband got home the whole wall was completely gone.

Once in the middle of the night I decided I wanted to take a swim in a motel pool. It was autumn in Maine and the water was icy cold, but I didn't care. Even my polar bear club husband refused to go in, but looked on concerned and pissed that my behavior had gotten so bad. About 4 to 5 hours later when the sun came up I was going out for more, but the management had locked the door to the pool. I made such a fuss about this and the hallucinations I had had earlier in the night that my husband threatened to take me to the hospital. We were on vacation at the time.

Another time I went to my pdoc's office with no bra on and a low cut shirt. It was my intention to seduce him, but I laughed almost the entire time. I was only hypomanic on this occasion.

I've never been manic, but I want to see a pic of the butterfly and the finished picture frame. Before and after pics of yourself are optional. *Giggle* What a great story, centerseeker!

Thanks stolenheart. The butterlfy never even made it to a frame it is tacked to a corkboard. It is festive. (i don't have the technical knowledge or patience for picture posting I am afraid)

Um...okay, I just remembered something. I went through this phase where I had a near-uncontrollable urge to flick people off. I seriously had a hard time containing my middle finger.

And I hate Progresso Soup. The relation is this: when I would walk past the Progresso Soup, I also had the SAME urge to shoot it the bird. *giggle*
