I have some Questions, what does it take to be a group leader? what personality type? what are the requirements? how much experience with Bipolar do you need to have? I am very interested in becoming a group leader if at all possible because I want to help everyone cope and give people the support they need and deserve. so let me know thoughts and ideas on this subject. would I make a good leader?

Pheonixamine, I really don't know. I've been around since July I think, and sometime I will see in a group I am in that they are looking for a group leader. So maybe there is the opening first? But I have never inquired. That all I have experienced here, and my assumptions might not be how it really works.

But sometimes, there is a request made. You could always pm some of the group leaders in groups you are interested in and find out more info, too.

We're up late tonight Smile

Well, for me....

Pheonixamine, why not contact roy the administrator. He is the one who makes the decisions on group leaders. If you would like to serve in that capacity that is where you would start. Click on the tab at the top of the page. Go down to the bottom and click where it says "Interested in being a group leader Contact Us. Thanks for asking.

There is no standard criteria for group leaders. I think each person is evaluated individually. Good luck to you! Let me know if I can be of help.Smile

I just got a personal message from Roy asking me if I would be interested in the Asthma Group. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and declined.

Contact Roy as others have said if you want to give of yourself.
