Hi everyone,

My husband has BP II/ADHD and Sleep Apnea. He has been declined by the last 3 apps we have submitted for Life insurance for him. We have a family and of course are very concerned that we will not be able to find coverage for him! He manages this disorder well in that he sees his doctor, therapist, takes medications and has never been suicidal.

I am reaching out to this forum for help. Has anyone had experience with this and if so, what can we do to find my husband life insurance coverage? Can anyone recommend a life ins company that doesn't have such rigid underwriting? Or any tips?

I so appreciate all your feedback!!

God bless,

This is a good question. I have a diagnosis of Bipolar I with Panic Disorder. I am on Soc. Sec. Disability. I have never checked on life insurance for myself or other family members. Does anyone else out there know about this?

Please let me know if you find an insurance company that will cover bipolar. I have no other medical problems, but was denied because of my "mental illness". It is scary because I have a career, mortgage and college for sons and though I'm in my 40's, this is my first time without life insurance due to a job change (for the better). Until I find it, I will feel uneasy. This stinks! Thanks, Janeen.
Is anyone normal?

Hey Y'all, you could check with the NAMI website and see if they could recommend anyone, I had the same happen to me about short term/long term health coverage, could not find anyone and that was before the diagnosis of bipolar..

THANK YOU - and by the way, I LOVE penguins. They are the mascot for Youngstown State University.
