My friends call me Dani.

Sometimes I lie awake at night and I ask, "Why me?", then a voice answers "Nothing personal, your name just happened to come up."

I agree...trust ur insticts...consider what u need to be accomplished and ask urself if that's the way to get it accomplished. We need to take care of ourselves. Wiah u the best with whatever u decide.
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Kahlil Gibran

Just like the rest have said - go if you feel you need it. My eldest has been recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She has always suffered from anxiety and periods of depression. She has been in inpatient 4-5 x's over the past two years. It has helped.

Don't hesitate to go if you need to go. I know from experience that it's not the most wonderful experience in the world, but it can help.

I am strongly considering it as well; one loophole is preventing me from being there right now. Community Meeting is horrible and there's always that narcissistic guy who ruins everything, but you get a bed, medical / psych treatment daily, and they feed you -- you don't have to cook! They lock my bathroom and take away all my jewelry when I arrive, so I spend the first day completely angry -- but then I usually tire myself out (or get drugged up -- whichever happens first -- I surrender and then often lose my memory. The 3 weeks just fly by!

Seriously, please be safe and do what you think is right. It's safe, and safe can be a really comforting thing.

Dani,

There's no shame in seeking hospitalization for your mental well-being. I've had to seek inpatient care on several occasions and am glad that I did. If you feel that you need it, do it. Don't second guess yourself on something as serious as this, trust me.

Take care,

Eddie
