MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

I have been taking these 2 meds along with a great deal of others. I am taking these meds for my insomnia and I have gained about 25 pounds! Has anyone out there experiencing the same thing? Any suggesions? Thanks for your help!Sad

Hi. It's awful, the weight gain. I am dealing with that, too.

My experience is that while taking ambien my weight remained stable.

My short term with doxepin, which I took separately from ambien, caused some weight gain. I did not stay on it very long due to a variety of sides and lack of efficacy for myself.

I have not taken the two together, however.

Best to you.

I am seeing my doc on Thursday, so I'm hoping that things will be changed with my meds. This has been really tough for me as I went through a lot of weight gain when I was on Seroquel 2 years ago. Keep your fingers crossed for me as I need all the help that I can get! Thanks for responding to my post! Take care!

ambien didn't work from me, but I didn't take it more than two times. I always ask my doctor for a list of medications that have the least amount of chance to add unwanted weight....Lithium did it to me, now I'm on Lamictal...slowing coming off.

Fingers crossedSmile

I took the doxepin for pain and sleep. Is that what you take it for, or just sleep?

Good luck!

Ambien isn't really working for me either. When you put the two together, they work (insomnia and axiety), but I'd rather do without them and not sleep due to all of this weight gain! This is so frustrating!
