I wanted to check and see how everyone is doing over here. I started out on this forum looking for answers for my husband. He still refuses to go and seek out any help. Since he won't do that, I can only take wild guesses at what might possibly help him get better. It is frustrating to say the least. I wonder sometimes how long I can play this game with him. Wanting someone to live their life to the fullest isn't easy when they themselves don't seem to want it. If he does, he isn't telling me.

Tell me how YOU are doing.

I am doing great!!! How are you?

You might also find some answers in a group of people who are coping with some of the same things that you are.

Here is also a link for those who have a spouse with bipolar disorder:

Here is a little tip. No one can change another person. We can only change ourselves.

Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. We do care.Smile

Comments made by me are from my own experience and they are my opinion alone, whose intent is only to share that opinion and not to give medical advice nor discourage from seeking medical help. Medicine is best left to the professionals that is what they do.

Thanks Norma. I am also part of the spouses for bipolar. Thing is, I don't know what he has other than just total sadness from his past. I feel as if my helping or even wanting to help does nothing but make it worse. I am so focused on helping him , my life as I knew it or hoped for, has disappeared. I feel I have taken on more than I can accomplish in this situation. I know you are right about changing him. I don't see myself as wanting to do that, I want the him that is hiding to come out into the light and really live. But even in that, it is who he is now, and if he doesn't have a problem with it, and I do, then there lies our problem. How can I help when he thinks he needs no help ? All he seems to do is resent me for even being here, caring, and loving him.
