For those of you who know what i have been going through (severe bout of depression), I want you to know that my social worker finally called today. She doesn't think that i will qualify for food stamps cause I still have a bit in my IRA, but we are going to try anyway.

We talked for an hour, it didn't seem that long. Apparently she suffered from severe depression when she was younger and she really understands. It was great.

Now there is some hope that she will be able to help me.

Even if it's not much, just knowing she will try makes me feel better.

My main leadership role is to listen, encourage, and keep the peace....It isn't to give medical or legal advice...Please note...I am not a Doctor...nor an expert...I am here for the same reason all of you are...to receive and give encouragement.

Wow, I'm glad to hear it was overall a good experience. I just can't believe they want you to forgo financial stability of your retirement years before you can get help right now. Sorry that's so cruel.
