"Bipolar Disorder" (drelew)

MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

A f4 tornado went straight through my city and ripped it to shreds yesterday. There are many fatalitys and much more injuries. My city looks like a disaster. I feel very lucky to be alive and very lucky to still have an apartment. Most the apartments are flattened to nothing but rubbel. My only struggle is I don't have water in my apartment and worst I can't get refills on my lithium and I'm going to end up running out. I'm scared I will go manic. But pray for all those in joplin Missouri we need it more than you know. We've lost schools grocerys stores and most of all countless homes.its a really scary thing. I knew by looking at the damages there would have been no way me and my daughter would have survived trying to protect ourselves in the bathtub. I'm so thankful the tornado stopped only a block away from our apartments.

If it were called Cancer, then you would be my friend. If it were called the flu then you would help me get better. But since its bipolar I stand alone.

Poor Joplin, MO and poor you. I've been watching the news all day. The damage is unbelievable. I'm so glad that you are okay!

Do you have phone service? If so, you might try calling the company that produces your lithium and tell them your problem. I'm sure there is some system set up for getting drugs to people in an emergency. If they can't help you, we'll all put our heads together and think of something. There has to be a pharmacy somewhere near Joplin that can get drugs to people.

Hang in there.

My opinions are just opinions, and should be taken as such. I am not an expert on medicines or BP disorder.

I live in Tulsa and I've been watching the news and reading the FB posting from the different news and they are saying alot of the Joplin people are comeing here to Tulsa and if you can come here there is a place here that can get you your meds and pdoc and tdoc and everything you'll need until things get a bit more settled (if that will ever really happen) back in Joplin. PM me if you need more info. I'm so sorry for everything your going through. Hang in there and my thoughts are with you!!! (((hugs)))

I've been watching the News coverage and just praying so hard for all the people in Joplin, MO. Just incredible devastation!!! I pray that you get the help you need to get your meds. I hope you PM the people here that have posted some ideas about getting you some help. Maybe they will be able to help you.

I will continue to send prayers your way and keep all of the people from your area in my thoughts and prayers. Just so sad.
