Any else feel exhausted after a mixed episode ? Over the weekend I was all over the place with my mood up and down with bad swings. Sunday late night I felt better but not great. Now Monday morning I feel like my body gas ran a marathon its so sore. It hurt like he'll to get up for work but if I don't keep my daily schedule structure in exact tact I will regress and sleep for days. Anyone else get this exhaustion after episodes? How'd u get through?

Mixed states are grouped with mania, and depression often follows mania, so it's common to feel low, especially if you missed sleep. Try to hang onto your sleep schedule and your body will start going into deeper sleep to catch you up. Hopefully you will feel better over a few days if you do that. Use your alarm if necessary.

You are wise to protect your sleep schedule.

I mainly feel tired and exhausted after episode of hypomania and rapid cycling, i end up sleeping more. I'm not having much depression or 'lows' these days even after these episodes. I know a lot of people suffer lows or crashes after hypomania or mania and that can be very hard, i hope this won't happen to you. If it does it may only be 'short-lived' we hope.

I wish you the best, i hope this type of episode does not happen too often to you, take care, much (((Hugs)))

I'm sorry you are having such a bad time. I hope things start leveling out soon

As for me, after a strong episode, I just call it quits and crawl into bed. You feel like you ran a marathon because they can be that hard on the body. I sleep for a few hours (usually recruit my dog to keep me company), and when I wake up naturally, I have lots to drink (preferably tea. It makes me feel calmer), and some light food, even if I don't feel much like eating. Some people say chocolate can help you a lot, but I haven't tried that one yet. Then I curl up with a book or a movie and ignore the world for a bit. I feel I deserve a little down time, you know?

Or lately, I hang around here. I always feel better after dome of the serious cheerleading these group of wonderful people can do.

(((Hugs))) Be kind to yourself, OK? Don't demand too much from your body, because it's already been through a lot.

Thank you everyone so much! Sleep has helped in the past when this happens but unfortunately I have work and can't call out. I've been at my job for a month. I was unemployed fir 6 months before. So I don't want to jeopardize my job. However after an intense episode like I had laying in bed helps alot. I guess I'll have to wait till 5 lol. Thank you!!!!
