"Bipolar disorder" (VickiL1219)

MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Don't worry about the spelling - I'm not teaching anymore (LOL)

And yes you got the spelling right. A new do is always fun, as long as it's not too drastic - just a little improvement to boost your spirits - nothin' wrong with that! From your picture it looks like you're a blonde - is it true that blonde's have more fun? I'm a brunette (it varies from brown to red, if you know what I mean) LOL My cousin is a blond and she is a wild woman (but, she has never said, but I think she is bp too - she is definitely mania-driven a lot of the time - very up, but then very down. I haven't asked her, I mean how would I do that? But she is on my dad's side of the family and they are all definitely a little out there, I've always wondered how she can be so "up" so often, while I just seem to stay pretty much the same from day to day. Does that sound familiar, she has never had any kids, and has started making comments about wanting to have a baby - she is two days older than me - we're 51, isn't that just a little bazaar? She acts like it is perfectly normal.

Umm, a little?! Many women are grandmothers now at the age of 51! Nothing against you ofcourse, Im not implying that youre old, Im just saying... geesh.. maybe a little too old to give an unhealthy birth!

As for being blonde, those are highlights... that pic was taken in the summer. I am now back to my drab brown straight hair... maybe more highlights would give me a pick-me-up! Ive been straightening it for that shaggy straight look but its getting boringggggggg!

That's what I thought - I could definitely be a grandmother, even though I don't come close to feeling like one - but if my son and daughter in law would like to bless me with a little one I would be soooo excited. Can't wait to spoil a little one again. How much fun will that be! I thought I was going to get that chance last year, they were pregnant with twins, but lost them at 10 weeks along - heartbreaking.

Im sure that would be heartbreaking... I know this is a little off course, but my mother was pregnant with twins 5 years after having me. She too lost them... she said it was a tubal pregnancy. They told her that she would not be able to have more children, BUT a year later she gave birth to my beautiful little sister, Amber. My Mama always refers to her as her miracle baby!

Sheila, thanks for sharing that - and I too believe they will be blessed with a little one in due time - right now I have a "Grandpuppy" and I'm having fun with him - he's part golden lab, part golden retriever, and he is such a sweet boy - but he is going to be big and they live in a little apartment so not sure how that will work out, they also have 2 cats, but they love their babies.

Another story that doesnt fit (lol)... My little sis, Amber, who is now 25, and her husband had been trying to have a baby since they were married... they had their lil' boston terrior that they treated like a child, then finally last year she got pregnant! On October 3rd she blessed me with a beautiful little nephew named Connor! :o)

So yes, there's always hope!
