This is not really a question but just a call out for help. I had a triggering event Friday and I can't seem to snap back. I have alienated by husband by being mean to him and he won't talk to me or take my calls. I am at work and can't seem to stop crying and desperately am wanting to cut. Please tell me that this will pass.

What was your triggering event? What has worked for you in the past to "snap back?" How mean did you get. Like irreversibly mean?

A staff member of mine told me that "I needed to learn how to talk to my daughter". I guess that it shocked me and hit me in the core. Not sure about irreversably mean. I was talking to my husband who then went into the garage to smoke, drink beer and talk to his buddies on the phone (I have recently quit smoking and drinking). I locked my husband in the garage until 1:00 AM.

Ok well fist don't cut. I mean you shouldn't but who am I to talk I do it. Just breathe. One deep breath at a time. You can do this. You can get through this. Does he have voice mail? If so call him one more time leave him a message apologizing for what you are sorry for.(one time so you are not smothering him he might just need space. If you want to talk and have support til her calls you, you have us we are here) Tell him (not yelling, calm voice)how you felt when you were trying to talk to him and he went out in the garage doing what he did and try to explain if you can why you did what you did tell him you were hurt and acted in the heat of the moment and that you are going to work on your actions if he will work on his (maybe together.) I understand why you got upset you wanted to talk and have support and he wasn't there. Maybe that isn't right but that is what it sounds like. Just tell him. People need to be careful when they try to tell you how to parent your kids. It can be a very touchy situation or conversation to have. I hope this helps and makes some sense.

Hugs and breathe

Wow, you really locked him in the garage? Lol, sorry but thats kind of funny... as for your co-worker, who the hell does he/she think he is? I mean, I hate it when people tell me how to raise my kids (and that includes my mother lol). I usualy get really mad when that happens.

Why did this send you into your current mood?

Cry HAVOC! and let slip the lemmings of war!

She turned me into a newt!.... I got better

have you ever been diagnosed for bipolar or any other mental issue?
If I could be anything in the world,
I would be everything.
If I could think of anything in the world,
I would think of future failures.
If I could touch anything in the world,
I would cradle my infant self.
If I could dream of anything in the world,
I would dream my dreams real.
Now that I am something and I’ve thought, touched, and dreamed,
I will let it all go

I think that this sent me into my current mood as I am very sensitive about my daughter. I raised her by myself and she just turned 18 last week which was painful for me (How dare she grow up! j/k))

I am diagnosed bipolar and am on the Lithium, Paxil, Ambien trail mix.

The desperate moment has passed and I feel much better. How strange that such overwhelming emotions come and go so quickly. I am still fragile but will deal with that moment by moment as I resist walking outside my office and decking that girl for criticizing my parenting skills. Thank you ladies.
