MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

I see people on here often, posting alot, and then they dissapear and are not on here-there profile is up but they stop writing. Maybe they are just busy-at least i hope that is the case-but i worry about them. do others feel that way?

Sometimes I think about the people that post and than disappear. I just assume the best and that they are really busy leading productive, happy and healthy lives and don't get a chance to post. What is most important is that they come here when they do need support. I also think about the old timers a lot and miss them. If they are reading this, go ahead and post and let us know how you are!

I think about those who have come and gone too, but i've also noticed so many newcomers replacing them and its so nice to get to know a lot of new people too. Sometimes people do come back and i find that's such a joy to be able to say 'hi' to them again. I guess some get busy, well, or whatever there reasons are they just seem to disappear. I'm just glad this place is still around, good point jewl, guess when people do leave we have all learned from meeting them and hoping they've learned from us too.

It is true that some post a while and then drop off the edge of the earth. I think things just start going well for them and they no longer feel the need for the support found here. It's just the way online groups seem to work. I do miss some that I built relationships with, but all that really matters to me is that they are doing well. I think they will show up again if they want support and I will welcome them with open arms, but I honestly wish they would stay with the family, good or bad.

I notice people come and go to, but I figure they are either doing good or just not having time to come on. People just come and go I guess. I wish everyone would just stick around. Support is good to have and support is good to give. I hope they return. We have a lot of new comers these days and I like to see it. Everyone has been sticking around too and that is nice to see.
