I dont normally drink, but I felt tonight was a good night. You see, I've been great for the past two weeks. I stopped taking my med bc I thought I wasn't bi-polar. Now I know I am. Well tonight I crashed and hard. Depression is hitting me hard. So, cheers! So who cares? No one.

WoWNerd, I care and drinking with bipolar is a bad idea. What you need to do is get back on your meds and stay on them. Please put the alcohol away and take your meds. Start back tonight. It will take a little while for them to work again, so don't hesitate to begin. Please.

Hi and i care too. You will need to get back on your meds in order to find stability. Stop drinking alcohol right now b/c you will feel the effects tomorrow and the next few days after, i always did when i used to drink. Wishing you well, glad you are posting.

Wownerd, we all care about you. No more drinking please. Please also get back on your medications. They work, and without them you will spiral out of control. We all know this as well as you do. You have got to stay on them to become better. Bipolar does not go away, you know that, I know that, we all know that. It will never go away, so take your medications and stay on them. It will take a little bit for them to get back into your system, but they will.

Hey, there's no need to apologize you have every right to post here whatever you want, but since you already have, I accept your apology. I'm just glad you reached out to us and posted and you mentioned what you were up to, Joy is right, work hard to not drink alcohol and try to get back on your meds right away, the longer you wait to get back on meds the worse you may get, alcohol is only masking your symtoms and it is a depressant, the bp symptoms will most likely still be there if from drinking could get worse. Take care.

I used to to drink all the time before I found out I have bP. I've gone off of meds twice and I failed.

I can say drinking never helped and I always felt like crap for 3 or 4 days after. then the depression would really set in.

Hope you get back on your meds soon.

peace & hugs
Rick
