Hi Everyone:

I was diagnosed about 6 months ago as being bipolar 2.

i suffer from irritability, depression and mood swing.

My doctor and I have not been able to find the right mood stabilizer that works for me. Unfortunatley i suffer from joint disease so most of the mood stabilizers i tried had to be stopped because i have serve Joint pain.

I suffer from joint disease so most of the mood stabilizers i tried had to be stopped because i have serve Joint pain.

I have taken the following:

Zyprexa - caused joint pain

Lithuim - made me sick ( but i still take it )

Depakote - joint pain

Abilify - joint pain

Seroqual - made me sick

Risperdal - worked but caused terrible insomina

Lamictal - cause loss of appetite

Geoddon- way too sedative for me even on a small dosage

Can anyone suggest another drug that i could try? weight gain is ok as a side effect Smile

Any and all suggestions are welcome...

Smile

Tegretol, Verapamil, Trileptal. I know nothing about these. I looked mood stabilizers up online and saw these three that weren't on your list.
