MDJunction to me

scotty04901"MDJ to me is an added phase in my recovery as a 44 year survivor of a TBI. I hope that with what I have lived through in those years, will be able to help all those who are just now going through. It is important to understand that even after 44 yrs, I am continuing to recover and to evolve. I just hope I can help others." (scotty04901)

I've seen this med posted on several accounts, but have not heard of it before. I think my meds need some adjusting, but I don't know what to present to my pdoc. Thanks!Wink

Geodon is an atypical antipsychotic. It is a very good med for many. I take it for "clear thinking". I think it helps me.

I used to take Geodon and it worked very well. Like Yorkie says, it's an anti-psychotic. It kept my hypo-mania at bay very well. The only problem I had with it is it made me too tired. Everyone is different though. It's a very good drug.

Geodon made me hypomanic just like Abilify.

I dont have a good record with any anti psychotics, even old school like Haldol.

Everyone is different though Smile

Geodon is in the same class as Risperdal, the risperdal was causing me to gain a lot of weight so my pdoc switched me to Geodon. As far as I know, you can't take both, and I noticed that you are taaking Riperdal. Geodon is a good med, but I can't handle a very high dosee of it.
