I ended up getting abilify from Canada for way way less money, and the had a generic. I dont know about Seroquel. I havent got them in the mail yet but my mental health facility said they were very reliable.

Was on Abilify but went back to Seroquel XR 150.

SUPPOSEDLY, there is a generic called "Quepin". If you ask anyone including doctors and pharmacists they will say that there is not a generic for Seroquel. I got that name off Wikipedia and I have not been able to find anything about it, so it may not be right.

I went on my health insurance's website to price out the prescription that my Pdoc just prescribed me, but was not able to pick up because it cost TOO FREAKING MUCH and it gave me these alternatives to Seroquel:

At a Retail Pharmacy

SEROQUEL 200 MG TABLET, brand, $149.63 <-----WTF!?!?!

Other Drugs that May Cost Less:

RISPERIDONE, generic, coverage rules apply

OLANZAPINE, generic, $15.00

LANZAPINE ODT, generic, coverage rules apply

RISPERIDONE M-TAB, generic, $15.00

RISPERIDONE ODT, generic, $15.00

*keep in mind these are prices that I pay through my health insurance plan. I have not idea what full price is, I would imagine that seoquel is more than a house payment.

Antithesis, You may also want to Google these medications to get information on them.

MDJ members may not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. However, as individuals with bipolar disorder, they may discuss their own medical diagnosis, treatment and professional medical advice they have received.

I trust that your doctor will be able to provide you with the very best prescribing advice for your particular situation.

I, too, am continually frustrated by the changing and high-cost co-pays I encounter.

Bipolar II, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia & PTSD; Alcoholic in recovery since 3/21/07.

Aplenzin 522mg; Pristiq 200mg; Lamictal 400mg; Geodon 160mg; Ativan 1mg TID; Deplin 15mg; Xanax PRN; Metoprol 100mg.
