How is everyone? Im wondering how to deal with this bipolar1..Right now its driving me where I cant be still, one minute Im laughing and the next minute im crying..I cry for about 10 minutes, then I calm down. Then the next minute my mind is somewhere else.i keep hearing these songs in my head and they keep changing every 5 minutes....Im in the middle of looking for a job and its stressing me out..I dont know if my medication is working or not..Some days it feels like it and some days it dont. And then I wonder sometimes WHY do I get out of the bed?I get all ready to look for a job and then 5 minutes later WHAM,im tired already...Well i just wanted to know that I have someone to share my feelings with that have bipolar1..southern10

It sounds like you are having a mixed episodes which are common with bipolar 1. First step CALL YOUR DOC> second step find a nice relaxing activity to engage in, away from any stressors<such as looking for a job> until you get a med fix.If you can't stay on that activity for long that's ok, move onto another stressless activity.

I also have bp 1 and understand the mixed episode emotions and the horrid icky feelings they cause. Therapy can't work this one out you need to contact your pdoc to straighten this one out.

I understand what you're feeling. Just when I think that I'm doing well and that the medication is working and I feel "normal", something triggers me and then my mind is going like crazy and I feel like crying at the same time. It's very frustrating. When I'm in the midst of a cycle, I just want it all to end. It's so hard to understand it while you're in the midst of it as well. The ups and downs come so quickly and are filled with constant racing thoughts...mostly bad thoughts for me, and then the feeling of wanting to cry all the time is overwhelming to me. when my thoughts are so consuming, it's hard to find the reality in those thoughts nor be able to stop them.

Hang in there and you'll find plenty of support here.
