MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Absolutly mariel, especially before I was on medication. Be patient with yourself and if you feel that you're in danger, call your pdoc right away. I heard whispers on the wind, voices from the radio.. Why were you taken off your meds cold turkey if I can ask??

The Doc wanted to simplify my regimen. I am still taking my Lamictal and seroquel and Lithium. So you would think that would be enough to keep me together.

Auditory hallucinatios are hearing voices. I have been there. It helps me if while it is going on I ask someone if they hear anything? My family is used to it, my son has bipolar and we both check each other. If both of us are hearing it then, we figure it is not us...LOL LOL Talking about it helps us a lot.

I used to have them really bad when I was manic. I still get them occasionally but I have stopped asking people to confirm if it was real or not and just take for what it is. I think that I have become so used to it that it doesn't phase me much anymore. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Silly

It is probably a good thing...because you know they are hallucinations...I just blow them off. It is usually when I am really tired...and need to get my rear end to bed.

I hear voices when I am manic or depressed. Mine are nasty little buggers. They call me names and put me down and tell me to do things I would never do. What did yours say?

I hear loud noises, like booms. I am so happy to know that I am not alone here. Is the best thing for me to do is ignore them?
