I was just put on my 3rd medication in my ever-growing personal pharmacy, and wanted to give it a good recommendation!

I know not everything works the same for everyone, but being put on Vyvanse for ADHD has really helped me to focus! I can't even tell you how productive I've been today, and this is just the first day I've taken it. It started working almost immediately.

So, I am one happy camper!

That's great news. I haven't heard of that med for ADHD yet. My son is on focalin.

I took focalin in college. it worked. only reason i went off of it was because i wanted to try to cope without meds for a while. he put me on vyvanse bc he said it sounded like i couldn't focus on things i used to enjoy. let's just say, i am very productive today!

JVH: I haven't heard of this one. Please tell me more about it. My husband currently takes Concerta, which is very expensive and I don't think works for him all that well......

well, i don't know your health insurance situation, but with my insurance, it's only $25 (which is awesome since my other ones are both $50!!) like i said before, i'm sure it works differently for everyone, but this is how it works for me: i just started taking it today and already my mind feels sharper. my thoughts are more focused. i've been crazy productive today working on stuff for my sister's bachelorette party. i feel more energetic. normally at this time of night (9:39 PM) i'd be falling asleep because of my other meds, but I'm wide awake. so yeah, i am a vyvanse fan!! Smile

JVH: We have no health insurance. I'm more interested in how well the drugs work. Concerta ain't cheap--$150 per month, and doesn't seem to work all that well on hubby. I will investigate this new med. Thanks!

I've tried every medicine out there 4 ADD. Vyvanse can make u more manic so b careful. My pdoc started me on 70mg and did not like the constantly going so I have gradually lower the dose(my choice). I take 20mg now and it's not so out of control 4 me. Just b careful, I don't want to rain on your parade but it can make u more manic after awhile. Take care

yeah i've read that about adhd meds. we'll just have to see how it goes, i guess.
