MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

I'm sorry you have such a hard time in the mornings. The hospital can be good, it gives you a little vacation from your everyday life, but you always have to go back and face it. I would definitely call your psychiatrist and get your medications adjusted. You shouldn't be feeling this way while medicated. Maybe in the morning do some kind of exercise for ten minutes to get you going. Someone suggested this to me and I'm going to try it, I have such a hard time getting up. Stress is definitely a trigger, so try to eliminate as much as you can if possible. I pray that you start to feel better soon. We are here for you through this. Stay strong. Hugs

Nice to see you back, it's good to go to the hospital when you need it most and that's what you've done, give yourself some credit and self-love.

My morning are hard when i'm getting my kids lunches made and hubbys and sending everyone off, i find that stressful. Now it's summer break so kids sleep in, but i'm still getting hubbys lunch ready and sending him off but i enjoy drinking coffee with him in the early am. alone.

Stressors are hard, if you have a therapist you can make a list and discuss what these are and maybe work out some strategies. If you don't have a tdoc you can find a friend or family member who may be able to help you...or even post some stressers here and some of us may help you. Much Hugs

Mornings were once so bad for me that I went through alarms clocks because I would throw them across the room. Did some wall damage, too. The only thing that has kept me from doing that are medications. I still have some trouble because I face stress from my job and there are days I just have to fight getting up. But it really isn't as bad as it once was, and again I credit medications. You should get together with your pdoc and see about getting your meds adjusted. Dit has a very good suggestion about therapy. It might help you find ways to cope better with your stress. Keep posting because there are a lot of good minds here with lots of good ideas which might help.
