MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

I'm sorry you are now unemployed. Hang in there, you will find another job, just be patient. Take something to calm you down, but don't take too much, you don't need that at this time. I hope that you start to feel better soon. We are here for you. Stay strong. Hugs

I don't know much about Klonopin to say whether it is a healthy thing to do. If you have these for relaxing, you should take what the doctor prescribed and chill out. I'm on unemployment as well, I lost my job in January and now trying for disability. The roller coaster of jobs in the last 3 years now has me thinking that I shouldn't work. Good luck to you and remember that this to shall pass.

The one thing that kept me going while I was unemployed was the fact that so many Americans are experiencing that same thing. You are definitely not alone in that. The one thing that helped me while I was unemployed for about 18 months was to keep a schedule. I tried to follow the same routine everyday so I had some consistency.

I take klonopin and I wouldn't suggest taking extra. When I was prescribed too much in the beginning, it made me dizzy and groggy. I just felt like a zombie and fairly sick. If you need some rest, try some over-the-counter melatonin or tylenol pm before you go to bed. If you really feel like you can't function properly, I'd call your pdoc. I'm sorry you're facing this rough time right now. I agree with BlindFaith that keeping a routine will definitely help. Make sure you get up and shower and even just walk around the block to get out or meet a friend for coffee. I know personally how easy it can be to lay in bed all day when you're really depressed.

I'm so sorry that this has happened. I know it's tempting, but don't take that extra Klonipin. It's not good to take more than the doctor has prescribed for you. Try to talk to close friends and family and us here for support. You're not alone going through this, and it will pass. Try not to worry and remember everything happens for a reason, although we may not always understand why. Hang in there and keep us posted.
