Hey, Sugarluv...call the doctor or the pharmacy where the prescription was filled. Meds have a sheet attached when they are dispensed which gives information pertinent to the particular reason they are prescribed.

Is the med for you?

No, my boyfriend. She gave him Abilify and Congentin but he is already on Lamictal. Arent Abilify and Lamictal the same thing? I think the Congentin is to counteract side effects of Abilify? But he is irritable, I dont think he needs Ability and Lamictal.

that would be something best answered by his doctor, Sugarluv. Why not suggest that to your boyfriend. Giving him feed back on his irritability may help him. And some meds take a while to see the good effects.

hey sugar: i looked up cogentin and i'm not sure why this would be prescribed. it doesn't seem to have any application direction to bp. but it may counter some side effects if he has problems. is he taking any anti-psychotics?

I will let it all go

Lamictal is an anticonvulsant and Abilify is an antipsychotic but both say they can be used as mood stabilizers. I am also on both but in my case the Abilify was added more to augment the antidepressants than to act as a mood stabilizer.
I’ve decided that the key to happiness is low expectations.
