MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

We had a tornado Sunday night. Emergency Management dropped the ball and didn't get the warning out until way late. My friend since high school and his family lived in the damage path. I was worried. I callled. Kept getting the voice mail, leaving messages to call me.

I talked my son into driving me down there. Luckily they just had minor tree damage. I went in the house and the wife and all 3 of the kids still living there are lounging around. I asked "R" if he had recieved a message on the voicemail. No? I asked everyone there who had taken the message. No one fessed up.

Then someone said "We probably thought it wasn't important"!

DingDing! Battle Stations!

"How DARE any of you bags of poop think ANYTHING to do with him is UNIMPORTANT! He has dug this family, each and every one over 14, out of poop piles of they're own making more times than I CAN COUNT!"

I point to the oldest boy. "YOU are headed for a penitentary! Your on house arrest and breaking THOSE rules! CASE CLOSED!". I point to the daughter, next oldest. "YOU are hot on HIS heels for a spot on the Post Office Wall of Shame! CASE CLOSED!" I turned to the wife. "You, YOU, keep trying to give all the money to that church to support starving kids and missonaries in New Jersey, then come home and wreck the freaking house and blame 'R'! He's THE ONLY ONE WHO CLEANS EVERY DAY!" . I turn to the youngest. "Watch your bro and sis, AND DON'T DO A DAMNED THING LIKE THEY DO! Life will be easier. Follow your oldest brother into the Marines. I'm PROUD of him!".

Then I turned to 'R'. "You have worked yourself onto an oxygen bottle and cane for these people. They have rewarded you by pooping all over you. I would have left the lot of them at the Mission, or gone there myself 10 years ago. You deserve better than this $#it. I got a spare bed". I shook his hand and then left.

My son, (all 6'3" 230 pounds of him), had been there through it all. As we drove away he finally said "They won't need the A/C on for a month. You laid the 'Mr. Freeze' on them". Then a little later he said "Now I know what a Marine Drill Sergeant sounds like! Do you realize no one else said a word after you lit in?".

I love 'R' like a brother. I hated pooping on his carpet like that. But I was just fed up with them destroying the man who kept the roof over they're head and food on they're plates and treating him like garbage. He's 5 years younger than me and looks 15 older.

So I probably won't be hearing from any of them soon. "R" will pobably be POed because I said what he should have 'Manned up to' 15 years ago. At least he has 2 boys that made it to manhood with some good values. And maybe they learned something. Self-centered A-Hos they are I doubt it. But I had to do it. I owe 'R' that much.

It sounds very inconsiderate of them not to pass the message along, or notify those who might be concerned that they were alright. When I lived in FL with all the hurricanes, and tornados. We kept in contact with those close to us continuously.

I think you did the right thing. I had an older lady friend who used to say when she was pissed "sometimes you have to hit a mule upside his head with a 2x4 to get his attention"

Maybe you brought some clarity to whats been going on. I would think a good friend would appreciate that on occasion.

I cleaned up the language for posting. Like my boy said, I sounded like a POed Drill Sergeant. And people keep saying I can drop the temperature in a room. Go figure. Psycotic Powers? Tongue

So sorry this happened. They are very inconsiderate. You are a very good friend to do that for him. You stood up for him and told them off. Way to go!!

Actually CptBlack, I would love to have you in my corner on occasion, their aren't many people who will step in and say what needs to be said. Too much of the "ain't my business crap" So keep up the good work. Stick up for the people being taken advantage of. If you lived close by, I really think I would enjoy your company.

They have wore the man flat out! He get's a hobby and they wreck it somehow. He bought a nice car for the wife. He has done major repairs on it... TWICE! Hell of a body man. AHe cut my race car body into what looked like 30 pieces. "Ruined!" I thought. When he was done it looked stock... until you parked it next to another identical street car! Blink

The oldest boy stood up when I read him the riot act, but he didn't get froggy. He saw me knock a guy flat out. One shot. Plus I had half my 'Wrecking Crew" of sons for back-up.

Thinking about it, they sort of resembled a bunch of fish up on the bank. Mouths open and moving but no sound when I walked out.

Me and #2 son had a great time today. He went and got his license renewed, then we went to a fine tobacco and pipe shop and a fantasy store. I even took my pipe and got a free fill of 2 new blends.Fine old establishment with a smmokers lounge. BSed about the 'old store' got a couple of fine $5 cigars. Saw the pipe for my Daughter-In-Law (to be! Pop the freakin question kid!). Might take until Christmas, but they do lay away. A good day.

They sound like a very disrespectful bunch and could have used a kick in the pants like that a long time ago.
