I have a few questions and will welcome all answers.

I want to go see our daughter 4 hours away and now I am questioning my reason, is is because I am afraid I will die and want to spend time with her or is because I really just want to go. I question all myy decsions of late, why do I want to go, or do whatever it is. I can't decide what to wear, make for supper, or where to go. I am afraid of having fatal illness, or heart attack.I am scared of anything and everything.

I just told last week I have bipolarII and PTSD, and I have panic attacks, have not started any meds for bipolar yet, but take Xanax 1/2 at night and in the am and if I need I can take a whole one if I get bad.

Thank you taking the time to read this.

Is it "normal" to lose all interest in things, I used to enjoy sewing and doing crafts and not now, I have let my house go, don't care if I get dresssed in the am or not.

Take it one day at a time, one minute or 1 second.
It will get better

WELCOME TO THE SITE, LUCKY. BROWSE AROUND AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME. READ POSTS AND JUMP IN WHEREVER YOU LIKE. YOU CAN BELONG TO AS MANY GROUPS AS YOU LIKE, SO JOIN THE PTSD GROUP IF YOU WANT.

Once you have established a good Psychiatrist for yourself, he will prescribe medications for your mental illnesses. I also have Bipolar Disease and PTSD. The same medication is prescribed for both. You will notice a world of difference once you have been given the right drugs. There is absolute hope that you will again feel joy and have a near normal life.

Hi luckywomen - Thanks for being here with us! It's normal to feel idsinterested & unsure... just keep reminding yourself that once you start taking your medication for a while, things won't seem as overwhelming.

Keep postin - it helps to connect with people who "get it"

Is it normal to lose interest?

It is and it isn't. That happens to me when I get really depressed. I loose interest in everything from knitting to drawing to writing to showering to everything.... that's when I know it's really, really bad. It's usually around that time when I turn suicidal (albeit passive) but still, it's always right around that time.

It's important to remember that your meds aren't going to work right away, it can take a couple of weeks to fully sink into your system.

As for the panic attacks.... really all you can do is ride it out. I got a tattoo that says live life, love life, breathe on the inside of my left arm. The last time I had a panic attack I started rubbing it, remembering what it said, and I focused on my breathing. Just breathe, always remember to breathe and it will pass.

And if all else fails, come here.

One of my more recent panic attack sent glory into stitches laughing and looking back, it was pretty funny. Sometimes just pouring it out here is the best remedy because people here, they'll get it and they'll help you through it.

And sometimes it's one nano second at a time.

Just remember that it will get better, it will pass. It might not feel like it, but it will.

Welcome Luckywomen...if you have lost interest in the things that you usually find interesting it can be from many things. Get checked out by the doctor...can be hormonal, thyroid, bipolar, etc...LOTS of different reasons...so let someone in the medical profession help you find out what is wrong and find a treatment program for you.

We are here for you...this is a great group of folks...make yourself comfy here.
