The stopping and breathing sounds stupid, especially the 1st few times you hear it, but it helps a lot. Look up "thought-stopping." It has given me some relief.

the seroquel did work while i was on it. now i feel like i should have just stayed on that and maybe asked the doc to upped the doesage. i hate going to the doc because i always feel like i am rushed at a certain point. i can talk anyone's ear off! and 45-50 minute sessions for "therapy"? lol! uhh, how about a 4 hour therapy session once a month?

"thought stopping" i'll look into that now. thanks guys! this site is great! just what i was looking for. people who understand and care about caring Smile

I'm a little late in the convo, but I do this same thing, mostly when I'm manic. It's part of my racing thoughts. I'll do that, and have conversations with ppl in my head over and over again, sometimes I dont' even know which conversations are real and which ones just happened in my head. Hate it. THat's why I like when the meds slow down my thinking so I can have just regular thoughts.
They call me Jrock :)
