here's the set up:

i go to school two nights a week.

i work full time.

i'm trying to get enrolled in next semester's classes, but since this semester isn't finished, i can't enroll in one because i'm currently taking the prereq; my advisor is only available mon-fri until 5, which is when i'm working...

i'm totally broke, i had to use a credit card to go grocery shopping, i'm beating myself up about spending $60 on clothes last weekend, but really, i didn't know my husband was going to have to spend $250 on gas to and from illinois, i guess i just wasn't thinking.

i haven't taken my birth control for nearly a month now, my doctor is also only available when i'm working, i don't want the whole office knowing my business, so i can't call her then. i left a message for her and never heard back, so i gave up on that.

so, in addition to all this, i know i need to find a doctor and finally get on some meds for bp. but i cannot make myself call the frellin insurance company. i don't know what's wrong with me, i've always had this kind of fear of talking to people on the phone, i know it's really weird and i wish i didn't feel this way. i tried looking online for the information, but the insurance company came up blank on psychiatrists and psychologists in my state.

so is it being cowardly to ask my husband to call them on monday and find a doctor for me??

thanks

Hi Zovjrarr, I don't believe you are a coward, it sounds like you might have just a little too much on your plate right now, I hate calling places on the phone cause you get computer responses most of the time, I want to talk with a real live person.

What kinda insurance do you have? you can look online at the coverage, make sure they cover what you are needing, and then start calling around to find a doctor that accepts that kind of insurance, your company also should offer you a listing of Doctor's they accept. Your husband, if he is willing can get all this information for you.

As for the work situation? I remember getting up one morning, and my car would not start, (I needed a new battery) my mom asked what I was going to do since I needed to work that day, I told her I would just not be going into work that day so that I could fix my car, otherwise I would not be going into work period... Sometimes we have to just make the time to do what we need to do. Take a personal day off, deal with what you need to deal with, and then you will be able to return to work without feeling the pressure of needing to deal with all this and no time to do it.

Carmen
