Does anyone use the services of another person to manage their money? I've been thinking about this alot.

I don't have enough good time to keep things straight. It's causing a lot of tension with my husband and me.

well i don't but i sure think it would've been a good idea. my finances are in a shambles mostly due to the fact the that when i'm hypomanic i but many expensive things i can't afford and/or don't need.

so i would say it would be positive and stress relieving.

death happens every tiniest fragment of time and happens again every smaller tiniest fragment of time and there can be a tiniest fragment of time that makes life worth not losing . . .

Welcome KK...if you have the money to pay someone then do it. A financial adviser will usually charge you a certain percentage of your income to manage your money. As far as the actual bill paying, which to me is the worst part, maybe you could have the essential bills paid as automatic withdrawls. That makes bill paying easy, just have to make sure there is enough money in the account. A separate account for household bills is helpful.

Thanks for the fincial advisor info. In community mental Health, case managers used to be able to help you through the rough times. If you needed one you could get a repayey who who get your money, pay the bills and give you what is left. You have to pay for this service now. About the finacial advisor, ... are there ones for people with mental illness?

If you have enough money to pay them you can hire one. They are expensive. Unfortunately, if the case managers can no longer help you you might have to do it yourself. I am wondering why your husband does not do the bill paying? are you the person who has bipolar disorder or does he?

You might get a family member to help you, someone you trust.

I have a family member that is not responsible enough to handle money. He has Bipolar & some other problems. He is on disability. He gets his check from the state & it is handed over to his mother & he has to go to her for his finances? Not sure what this is called..

But, then again, this was court ordered because his life depended on it. There are those debt counseling places out there that can help you..

Sorry if I am just way off & just wasted space here.

Good luck to you. I know how stressful it can be Sad

Hugs,

Amber
