Start taking seroquel LOL.

No, sorry, you're serious. It's just I would like to trade with you for about a month Smile I take it you're young? Maybe you just need to catch up to your height. My son was thin, he started doing free weights, just to build up muscle. He increased his protein (tuna, chicken, etc) and ate a lot of pasta.

He's still thin, but full of muscle; he races bikes (road races) on weekends. He's about 6' and is around 145, so not much more than you.

As long as you eat a healthy diet, with all the good stuff your body needs, it will figure out what it's supposed to be at. It's the damned meds we take that sometimes messes us up. You aren't on topomax, are you?

They call me Jrock :)

I'm still alive....Pearl Jam

Bipolar 1

Trileptal 1200 mg
Klonopin .5 mg up to 4 times per day
Lamictal
Wellbutrin
Singular (for allergies)

Sometimes pdocs will put you on a med to gain weight. ie...seroquel, etc. Mine-Lamictal, made me lose and quickly I might add. Try eating more desserts, that's how I gained the first time, when I was on seroquel
Princess Lainey

Lamictal 200mg
Risperdal 1.5mg
Trazadon 100mg
Klonapin 1mg
Lexapro 20mg
Wellbutrin 150mg

PS...I hate the snow

You could always eat McDs three times a day... though I'm sure you want to gain weight in a healthy way.
Oooh... shiny!

Hey Mike, I think the weight lifting is a great idea. And the protein. jritchie is right on. Sounds like all you need is to bulk up a little. I looked up your BMI & you were only 1 point below being within your healthy range. I am no health expert of course Smile just looked it up on internet with height, weight & age.

And the other alternative is to go on a weight gainer med. BUT, if you aren't having any problems with your current medication. You wouldn't want to switch them!!!I went on Zyprexa & Lithium, within 3 weeks I gained 10 lbs!If I could switch places with yuh I would foh sho!!

Good luck!

I sent you a PM that might help you, because I have been your exact, size/body type. One thing I forgot to mention, maybe because I am on a diet, is Brown Rice. I've always heard Brown Rice is good for BP, and perhaps eating a ton of it(with chicken perhaps), would not only be beneficial mentally, but really help you gain weight. NOT a doctor here though.
