MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

Anyone else have any vitamin deficiencies? Seems like since my BP diagnosis I have found out I have both vitamin D and potassium deficiencies, as well as low iron levels. I take lithium and was wondering if it could have caused these problems. The doctor was checking me because of my severe fatigue and exhaustion.

Sounds like you are being very proactive in your physical and emotional treatment and thats great. Most of us over the winter months do have low Vit.D so i take 1,000/day. I also take multi Vit.B 100s, Vit C, Calcium, Omega 3. I also do eat very well so thats why i take a lot of vitamins.

It's important your doctor is checking your blood for any other deficiencies. I take Lithium and it has never caused me any problems with vitamen deficiences, have been taking Lithium for 13 yrs. I hope this helps a bit.

I had to quit taking my multi vitamin because they kept getting stuck in the throat and the feeling would be there all day. But I do take Vit D and magnesium per the rheumy.

thanks for the replies everyone. Tom, I can't see myself sticking a needle in my belly, but thankfully my doctor will give me the shot when I need it. I'm going to try monthly and take a b complex supplement and see how it goes.

I have a vit d deficiency and my level was a 6. My levels were checked recently and doc said everything looked good but continue with the vit d. I take 50,000 units a week. It is a small green pill.

I also have iron deficiency anemia and get monthly iv iron infusions. Joy, I know.
