I am so new to this I am not sure what to say. I figured out my guyfriend has Bipolar. I overdid it with him not knowing and he threw me away. We have business dealings and I am sure it isn't over. He couldn't tell me what his problem was and being new to dating after 22 years of a crappy marriage I blamed myself. Our time together has been minimal but I feel very close to him and actually I must say fell for him. How do I support him without smoothering!

Welcome to the group.

I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you and your friend.

He may actually help you with your quest to remain friends but stay at a healthy distance.

I have a tendency to think that he'll engage himself somewhere with something whether it be a hobby or passion and may be a bit tied up with that.

Good luck with future interactions with him, I hope they can be pleasant and maybe it's a good time to set some boundaries for yourself as far as how close to let yourself remain.
