I recently stopped smoking and I was a big smoker. I have dreams of smoking and that's when it get's tough for me because I wake up wanting one. And after meals I "crave" as well. I don't know if being on my meds is making it harder to quit but this is the third time in my life that I've tried to quit and it's definatly harder than the other times. Does anyone else have this problem? Everytime I go passed a gas station I want to buy a pack of cigarettes.

The reasons why I decided to quit is I hate being so dependant on them. I would do anything and everything just to have one. I'd smoke in the house, and I have 2 little girls, because it was most comfortable for me. And I felt bad/guilty because my uncle is battling cancer right now. He can't eat much and it makes him throw up some times. :o/

I'm having a really bad night tonight so I thought I would write a little. My husband just gave me a jelly donut so that lightens the mood a little. It's strawberry with powdered sugar. But man, I would trade it in for one camel filtered cigarette. Help!

Hang in there,I quit a month ago,and still can't believe it...I guess it was just time I got sick of it.I had tried many times before but failed. You CAN do it,just think of the gross taste, the cost, your health, your kids, the smell.....

Hi Traciv, Thanks for telling me I can do it. Yea, the cost is horrible and it fries the lungs, and my children are important....but if it weren't bad for you/people I'd be smoking right now. I LOVE it. Except for when the wind blows wrong and it burns my eyes. :/

what about carrying around a ashtry with stale ashes and cigarettes. Sniff that when you get the urge?!

I know I don't like the smell. I buy a pack and smoke it over a two week period or more. Sometimes the smell of the old cigarettes will put me off and I'll stop for months.

Hope all goes better with time.

The smell doesn't bother me. It may sound weird and stupid but I like the smell of cigarettes mixed with perfume/cologne. But it all changes when I'm pregnant. I can't stand the smell or even stand people that smoke around me. I never smoked while I was pregnant.

But thanks MsBimbo for the wishes. I'm sorry MrBimbo isn't with us anymore.
