I am wondering if anyone else out there has a s/o with bp and as soon as they have you at the end of your limits of patience and you just want OUT, they pull a complete turnaround and start acting totally FINE. Helping with the housework, joking with the kids, cutting back on the drinking, etc. etc. trying REAL HARD to be 'normal'. Trying, is the key word here. When for the past 3 or 4 months of rollercoaster he acted like he didn't give a bleep about any of us. He seemed ok today, showing off his yardwork, saying, "See I don't need to go to a doctor, I don't believe in them!"

When I told him I thought he should still see a Dr.... Another turnaround!!! & he said he's going to look at apartments tomorrow, (he'd already taken the day off from work last week)

It's like he wants 2 realities going on... just in case one doesn't pan out, he has a backup

Yes! That's exactly what it's like two different realities. When one is too painful, doesn't meet our expectations, or we screw one of them up we can switch to the other. It's like living in a real world and a fairytale world which we make up. How to tell you that it isn't something we do on purpose, I can't say for him. I chose reality and had support to help me begin to heal, love myself, and really be able to accept forgiveness.

I any conditioning from early childhood or whenever which is reinforced repeatedly, it will need a significant even to affect change.

This type of change could be loss of a loved one, loss of job, loss in relationship or a bad diagnosis.

OK. That's enough from this peanut gallery nut!
