I have never paid to much attention to this. I guess now that I am aware of what is going on with me I try to be more in tune with myself? My blinker is so annoying, its the #1 complaint of my car. Normally, i am like WHATEVER. Yesterday it was so annoying everytime i flipped it on I was like OMG, I wanna rip this stupid thing out of my car. My friend sat a pop down in my cup holder it had some change in the bottom. It kept rattling, i thought i was going to jump out of my skin. Right now people seem louder than normal. I can't read a book if there is back ground noise (im manic right now so i cant read a book if i tried). Certain clothes feel so annoying. Hairs out of place drive me nuts. Sounds for me are especially magnified right now.

Gosh, thanks for all of your very insightful and sensitive comments.

About the hearing thing ...

I don't know if this is limited to Bipolar Disorder or not, but I also notice that if I fall asleep in front of the TV, it gets progressively louder as I enter into deeper levels of sleep.

I will lower the volume more and more until I finally get up and go to bed. The cats don't like me to sleep on the lazy boy. HA!

Anyone else experience this? (with regards to hearing).

for me I have sometimes noticed that even the wind is too loud, sometimes I would be so wound up, I could not tolerate anything electrical on, now that is weird, I hate the door open and key in the switch buzzer in the car..peoples normal conversations would sound like they were screaming in my ear...best thing that I have found for it, is not get in the car, use candles for lights, stay away from people and find a quiet room where I can't hear the wind, it's been a real challenge since getting married, hubby is one of those folks that constantly has to have some kinda noise going on..

I sleep with a little box fan on..That drowns out the static that I hear.when its real cold I just face the fan opposite of me ..The noise makes me sleep better..Southern10
