I am 31 yrs old, and was dx at the age of 19 as being bipolar with rapid cycling. Snice than my life has been crazy, sometimes scary, and outta control. But for the past 3 yrs things have been better, sometimes "normal" the only thing I am lacking is a significant other. I don't know if it is me or the men I chose but I can not keep a relationship. And I keep blaming myself. So I just wanted to know bc your wife is bipolar, what the hell am I doing wrong? Bc I am condidered very atrractive and not bc my mom told me. And I know that it's not about looks, so any suggestions? Stupid question I know, but as hard as everything is/or can be I much rather be doing it with someone elses support!!

I don't know if this will help much but, my 2 cents...better to be without a significant other than to be with someone just to keep from being lonely. I have been lonely and been with some real losers...LOL I think to myself "what the hell was I thinking??". I used to see people together and think why can't I have a nice person in my life. It finally happended when I stopped looking. Isn't that always the way?? Just my input, honey.

You bet I'm lonely. Some simularities in our stories, some differences too.

I've been running around out there like a dog with no leash for 20 years. Chasing down "the right guy", my soul mate, you know the deal. My last mr.right left me after two perfect years, (all dark secrets revealed), two weeks after a hospital stay that had to do with my graves disease.

He said he just wanted to start having fun again.

I heard something recently, and it was that maybe, as people we should stop the search for finding Mr. Right, and start becoming the right person.

I dated a guy, nyctrac...who treated me great for the first few months..flowers, presents, just acted like he was head over heels. Who could resist?? Then, the ass started to get mean. I knew it was over when he jumped all over me once when we were eating dinner, and he said not to look at him while he was eating. I am thinking "What??" He was serious. Wouldn't talk the rest of the meal...and we were in Hawaii. He told me he would leave me there and I could find my own way home. What a jerk. And I am the bipolar one!!! LOL LOL See not everyone with bipolar gets angry. I was the opposite, very submissive. I should have had a shirt made PLEASE ABUSE ME, I JUST LOVE IT!! LOL LOL
